Graphic Design Projects

Here are some of my favorite Graphic Design Projects that I have featured here on the Media Production Blog. Some of them were done on Photoshop, others were made with simply Microsoft Paint.

Yes that’s right, Microsoft Paint. You would be surprised what can be accomplished with Microsoft Paint if you have the patience to fiddle with it. It’s not just a kids drawing program. Although everyone would prefer Photoshop, there is not reason that you cannot use Paint to create professional logos or graphics if that is all you have.

Photoshop Projects

Project 1

Photoshop Project

Do I Look Like a Bitch? I am going to use this graphic for an upcoming blog post that is part of my media production headline experiment. It is a post that is shameless self promotion so I am really going to enjoy that one. The post is also going to be very self-immolating so I thought that this might make an appropriate graphic. I’m thinking about also including it in my video blogs.

Microsoft Paint Projects

Project 1

Paint Project

Media Production Madness. This was a graphic that I did recently for my first Media Production Carnival that I was very proud of. This was a pretty complicated splice job considering it was done in Paint. The hardest part was making the white text shadow for the “media production madness” text. I actually wrote one text over the other. The tricky part was that I had to cut out the image and adjust that because Paint would not let me cut both colors of text.

Project 2

Microsoft Paint Project

Here is a graphic that I did for my Link Karma post. I really like the colors even though I think that the layout could have been done a little bit better. I also think that I should have put a green or a blue in "karma" to cool it off and make it pop more but it is too late. It does the job and I am too lazy too fix it.

This graphic would be incredible simple had I used Photoshop but in Paint it was a bit more difficult. Fortunately I was able to fill the different letters of “Link Karma” with colors from the wheel using the eyedropper. Some graphics won’t let you fill in the individual letters and I was happy that I was able to with this graphic. What do you all think?

Project 3

Microsoft Paint Project

This is a graphic that I did for the link love post that connected to the link karma post. I really like this one even though the text is a bit ghetto. Since inbound links are the skeleton of a blog’s success, I really think that this graphic played off of that nicely. It is also really dark and goth looking which makes me appreciate it as well.

Project 4

I Wish that I was a Zombie Monologue

This is a graphic that I did for my Zombie Monologue. It’s extremely ghetto but for some reason it really seemed to pop. It just goes to show that sometimes even ghetto graphics can be really cool. Of course, I could never use this for an ad or professional graphic but it does make for nice enhancement to a blog post.

Project 5

Microsoft Paint Project

This Project I did for my Search Engine Submit Post. I am totally pleased with the graphic except for the "site" The yellow totally did not match up there. Had I had access to photoshop tonight I wold not have made that mistake with the color. But with Paint sometimes we have to make due. It looks good enough to do the job so I probably won't touch it up with photoshop.

Graphic Design Project Wrap-up:

That’s all of my Graphic Design Projects that I have featured right now but I will be posting more as time goes by. As I said before I would love your feedback. And if you like to do graphic design yourself and would like to submit examples of your work for critique or just to enjoy then you are more than welcome to submit them to my Media Production Carnival.
