Billy the Kid Trailer

I just saw the trailer for the Billy the Kid Documentary. It was cool but I wasn’t sure whether to laugh or cry. Billy the Kid is a hardcore Napoleon Dynamite. Still I can definitely see why Billy the Kid has won several film festivals.

Billy the Kid Trailer

The best part about the Billy the Kid trailer was that it was believable. I saw into this kid’s heart and saw a reflection of myself. The trailer just gives us a glimpse of the film and I am not exactly sure of the film’s premise. But there is definitely something to it. I could see this film achieving cult status very quickly if it can get distributed widely.

I will feel more complete as a human being from watching the Billy the Kid Documentary. I think that it is a good reflection of our time.

Billy the Kid Trailer

Here is the Billy the Kid Trailer. There are moments that will make you laugh but there are also moments that will make you say: “This is hardcore.” There’s definitely a new kid in town.

The original Billy the Kid was a hero to many and a villain to many others. He is unique among the outlaws. To some, Billy the Kid was a cold-blooded villain. To others, he was loyal friend with Robin Hood qualities. Few other gunslingers have this unique quality. Doc Holiday is the first to come to mind. He was an outlaw with a black heart and yet, he fought on the side of “good.”

I could not tell from the Billy the Kid trailer whether this kid was going to be a superhero, arch villain, or just a nerd with something to prove. Still the trailer was intriguing. This is the most interesting film that I have seen in quite some time. It just goes to show that there is a lot more merit in the Indie Film world these days than in Hollywood. I still love Hollywood, don’t get me wrong. But they would never make anything like this Billy the Kid documentary.

What did you all think of the Billy the Kid Trailer?

The Billy the Kid Documentary

The Billy the Kid Documentary

The Billy the Kid Documentary won the Best Documentary at the Los Angeles Film Festival and the Edinburgh Film Festival and several others. The Documentary tells the story of Billy the Kid. Billy is a normal kid with normal aspirations who also has had a past filled with behavioral problems. He is already a known man in the small Maine town that he lives in.

Being a “known man” is something that I can relate to. I have never committed a serious crime but I have had a long history of partying, publicity stunts and various other things that have made me infamous in my home town. That coupled with a couple of extremely bloody brawls has left me almost notorious. I am not all that tough, but the manner in which I finished a couple of fights has given me a reputation of someone not to be trifled with. To be clear however, I have never picked or started a fight. I was taught only to fight in self defense.

But I can relate to this kid and I think that is why the Billy the Kid Documentary resonated with me. I know what it is like to infamous and judged because of my past. The people who truly know me, know that I am a kind, gentle an extremely laid back person. But sometimes I have trouble escaping my “outlaw” reputation.

Still, I think that this film is something to see. I think it’s cool that the documentary revives the Billy the Kid Mythology and I look forward to seeing it if I can somehow acquire a copy.

Whoa, that's crazy. I go to school with Billy Price and was curious when I heard about this a while ago. I've just started looking around and it's amazing that someone from around here actually got out there and [in my opinion] proved something to a much larger audience. Especially when he defies the stereotypical criteria for recommended success.

This kid is my fricking hero. I hope he does make something of himself. I'd cast him in two seconds. That quote about "Im only different in the Mind" was brilliant.

I might have come across as ridiculing the kid but keep in mind i am going off a movie trailer that doesn't show me a lot of information.

Regardless, He can have a place in any one of my productions and I hope that I am as remotely successful as he is someday.
