icarly.com is a new fan-generated content show from Nickelodeon. The show is hosted by Miranda Cosgrove from the smash WB hit Smallville. The show will incorporate footage from real kids who have submitted videos to the show.
The show also stars Nathan Kress as Carly’s technical advisor, Jennette McCurdy as her best friend along with other actors and actresses like Angelyna Martinez and Colin Spensor.
The pilot to the show has been a hit success and it’s not surprise to me. Icarly is ahead of its time. Soon there will be many shows that allow users to influence the type of content. When this site becomes even more popular than it already is and I begin shooting my indie-film, I will definitely consult with all of my regular viewers.
I can’t help but think that ICarly was influenced by ABC’s latest show ICaught which premiered earlier this summer. ICarly premiered tonight at 8 p.m. on Nickelodeon. You can find more information on when and how to submit content at icarly.com or by clicking here.
